Delete your Bharat Tracker account

1. Email us

Write to hello@bharattracker.com from any address, with the subject "Delete my Bharat Tracker account".

2. Give your number

Include the mobile number you sign in with, and whether you are a parent, driver or school staff.

3. We confirm it's you

We send a one-time code to that number, so nobody can delete an account that isn't theirs.

4. Done in 30 days

Your account is closed at once and its data deleted within 30 days. We email you when it is complete.

1. Who this page is for

This page explains how to delete an account in the Bharat Tracker app (Android and iPhone), operated by Bharat Mechanics Private Limited. It applies to parents, drivers and conductors, and school staff who sign in with a mobile number.

2. How to ask

Email hello@bharattracker.com with the subject "Delete my Bharat Tracker account" and the mobile number you use to sign in. You can also call +91 93106 94349. We reply within one working day and confirm your identity with a one-time code sent to that number before anything is deleted.

3. What is deleted

When your request is confirmed, your account is closed straight away and you are signed out on every phone. Within 30 days we delete:

  • Your name, mobile number and profile.
  • The pickup point and address you saved for your child.
  • The notification tokens for your phones, so no further alerts are sent.
  • Messages you sent to the school, and your sign-in history.

4. What is not deleted, and why

Some records belong to the school, not to your personal account, or must be kept by law:

  • Your child's enrolment, bus and attendance records are the school's records. Deleting your account removes your access to them; to have them removed, ask the school, or ask us and we will pass the request on.
  • The bus's own trip and location history is the school's vehicle data, not personal data about you.
  • Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires, and are then deleted.
  • Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten as those backups expire, within 30 days.

5. Deleting only some data

You don't have to close your account to remove something. Ask us to delete your saved pickup point or your messages, or to stop notifications, and we will do only that. You can also change your pickup point or turn off notifications on your phone yourself at any time.
